Pull Apart Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders

Whether you serve during the Big Game or a busy weeknight, these Pull Apart Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders will feed a hungry crowd and disappear fast. For the Big Game, bake half of the sliders to enjoy as the game starts and the other half during half time.


Step 1

Preheat oven to 425°F. Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange bacon slices in one layer. Cook 15-20 minutes in oven, to desired crispiness. Place on paper towel lined plate. Crumble when cooled.

Step 2

Add ground beef, onion, and garlic to a large skillet. Cook over medium-high, stirring occasionally, until beef is fully cooked.

Step 3

Add diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined. Continue cooking until most of the liquid has evaporated.

Step 4

Remove pan from heat, add diced pickles, 1 cup cheddar cheese, and cooked bacon.

Step 5

Split Hawaiian buns lengthwise in half, keeping buns intact.

Step 6

Spread top and bottom with butter. Place the buns butter-side up in the oven and bake until toasted or broil for a few minutes using broil setting in oven. Remove from the oven, set aside.

Step 7

Place the bottom half of the buns on the greased baking sheet. Spread the filling on the bottom half of the slider buns.

Step 8

Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese and layer provolone slices on both sets of buns.

Step 9

Place tops of bun layers on top of bottom layer with cheeseburger filling. Brush tops with melted butter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step 10

Bake at 325° F until filling is hot and the tops are golden brown, about 10 minutes.

Step 11

Serve with toppings of your choice including shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes.

Cook's Notes

This recipe is easy to prepare ahead and bake later. Cook the bacon cheeseburger filling then layer it on the buns and bake when ready.
