Peanut Butter Dog Treats

This fun and easy organic peanut butter dog treats recipe is a fun activity to do with kids. Your dog will love these fresh treats and the peanut butter flavor.

Servings:  Approximately 4 dozen treats.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
• ¼ cup Wheat Germ
• ½ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
• ¼ cup Unsweetened Organic Applesauce
• 2 Tbsp. Unrefined Organic Coconut Oil
• ¼ cup Organic Chicken Stock

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. 
2. Combine flour, wheat germ, peanut butter, applesauce and coconut oil in a large bowl. 
3. Stir in stock until combined. 
4. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to ¼-inch thick. 
5. Cut out with small cutters in shape of your desire like different sized circles or flowers, place on baking sheets.
6. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until light golden brown. 
7. Shut off oven and allow treats to stay in oven until cool.

9. Store tightly covered, up to 2 weeks.
   

Recipe Notes:

Alternately, you can use silicone molds. Press small balls of dough into silicone molds.  Bake 45 minutes, turn cookies out onto hot baking sheet; continue baking 15 minutes. Treats made in silicone molds are about ½-inch thick and need longer baking time.
