Food Club Stuffed Taco Bites with Queso
For a winning appetizer or a fun twist on Taco Night, serve Food Club Stuffed Taco Bites with Queso! These hot and flaky biscuits filled with tender taco meat and served with a hot and gooey queso cheese dip.
Ingredients:
- Food Club Jumbo Biscuits
- ½ lb Ground Beef
- 2 Tbsp Acme Fresh Market Taco Seasoning Mix (prepared as directed with 6 Tbsp water for ½ lb ground beef)
- 1 jar Food Club Salsa Con Queso
- 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
- ¼ tsp Oregano
- ½ tsp Cumin
- 2-4 Tbsp Diced Tomatoes with Chilies
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Cook ground beef with taco seasoning until beef is done and browned. Drain grease.
- Press flat one biscuit on a sheet of wax paper.
- Add 1 Tbsp taco meat to center of biscuit.
- Fold biscuit together and roll in hand to form a ball shape.
- Repeat for all biscuits and place along the outside edge of a sprayed cast iron (or oven-safe) skillet.
- Pour con queso in middle of skillet.
- In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, oregano, and cumin.
- Using a pastry brush ( I couldn’t find pastry brush online), brush butter mixture over biscuits.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
- Top queso with diced tomatoes with chilies.
- Serve in skillet. To eat, pull apart one biscuit and dip into center hot queso.
