 Egg Drop STEM Challenge


The Egg Drop STEM Challenge is a popular STEM activity that challenges kids and teens to design a contraption to protect a raw egg from a high fall. Once the contraptions is built, an adult can drop the egg from a deck, ladder, roof, or other place at least 6 feet off the ground.

Egg Drop STEM Challenge Materials:

Encourage your kids to get creative and find items around the house. Some ideas include toothpicks, empty boxes, straws, plastic wrap, balloons, paperclips, straws, plastic cup, string, cotton balls, cardboard tubes, paper, Popsicle sticks, baggies, pipe cleaners, rubber bands, paper, newspaper, paper towels, cardboard, tape, string, and even Acme Fresh Market grocery bags.
