Steel beams are literally hovering over the existing Acme Fresh Market store on State Road in Cuyahoga Falls as it undergoes a major renovation.
“It’s pretty amazing to see the new structure rising up and overcoming the old one,” said Jim Trout, Acme executive vice president.
Krumroy Construction of Akron is the general contractor for the project.
The store, which dates to 1949, will be 60 percent larger when completed, going from 30,000 square feet to 52,000 square feet. It will have expanded and new departments, including the bakery, floral, prepared foods, pharmacy and specialty meat case…
