Bringing a second supermarket to Green to compete with the already established Giant Eagle store on Corporate Woods Parkway was a dream of Mayor Dick Norton’s that became a reality earlier this year.

Now Green will have the 21st Acme Fresh Market built in the area in the last 20 years when doors open next summer at the 75,000-square-foot structure on the east side of Massillon Road at Graybill Road.

Newest Acme in Green ready to break ground in the spring – Ohio.com

By Betty Lin-Fisher
Beacon Journal business writer

“Acme Fresh Market hopes to break ground in the spring for its newest store in 20 years and be open for business by next fall.

The grocery store received the final go-ahead from the city of Green recently.

“We’re excited that they’re coming,” said Green Mayor Dick Norton.

The approval process took a little longer than originally hoped, Norton said, but now that the project is ready to move forward, Norton said it will be “an extremely handsome store.”

The store will front Massillon Road at Graybill Road and will be part of the Heritage Crossings of Green development.
