Steel beams are literally hovering over the existing Acme Fresh Market store on State Road in Cuyahoga Falls as it undergoes a major renovation.
“It’s pretty amazing to see the new structure rising up and overcoming the old one,” said Jim Trout, Acme executive vice president.
Krumroy Construction of Akron is the general contractor for the project.
The store, which dates to 1949, will be 60 percent larger when completed, going from 30,000 square feet to 52,000 square feet. It will have expanded and new departments, including the bakery, floral, prepared foods, pharmacy and specialty meat case…

GREEN: Albrecht Inc. and Acme Fresh Market narrowly cleared an initial hurdle Wednesday night in a bid to locate a $28 million supermarket and retail complex on the east side of the Massillon Road Corridor.
Green’s Planning and Zoning Commission spent nearly an hour discussing the request to amend the previously approved general development plan for the Planned Development district at Heritage Crossings before voting 3-2 in favor.
The 75-acre site sits at the northeast corner of Massillon and Graybill roads, extends to Interstate 77 and includes the new Summa Emergency Department…

The mango has a white label with a blue border with a PLU number of 4959. Other mangos are not affected.
